About Me

Camille Hong Xin is an art writer, curator and art advisor based in New York. With a background as a poet , she was actively involved in the art scenes and helped to curate shows in Beijing and bring artworks to Hong Kong Art Fairs. After moving to the USA, she studied film and wrote art reviews and subsequently worked as a gallery director and advised collectors. Her art writing has appeared in Art In America, Aperture, M Magazineintheartworld.com and Cue Art Foundation, among others. She was one of the first to visit and interview Ai Weiwei after he was released from prison in China in 2011 and wrote an article for Art In America. In 2016, Ms. Xin was selected as one of the curators for the city-wide exhibition of Nuit Blanche Toronto and her exhibition included international artists Bill Viola, John Akomfrah and Daniel Canogar among 10 international artists.  She is currently working with Unfinished Studio to develop a curatorial program focusing on emerging artists.
